He is spending about year in Butain studying problems associated with radiots and the medical uses of radio active isotopes. Part of this training is being provided by the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority aat the Harwell Isotope School. Born in My mensingh, Dr. Islam was educated in cutta and Dacca. He took his M.B.B.S. at Dacca University in 1954. It was while Dr. Islam was at Dacca Medical college that he first became interested in radio-isotopes for medical uses. Dr. Islam is also a well-Know Pakistani cricketer, having played for his country in India and Burma, and for the Pakistan side against the M.C.C. during their last visit to East Pakistan in 1956.
