He is spending about year in Butain studying problems associated with radiots and the medical uses of radio active isotopes. Part of this training is being provided by the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority aat the Harwell Isotope School. In this picture Dr. Islam is seen treating a patient in his surgery i Dacca, where he has been carrying on his own practice for the past two years. Born in My mensingh, Dr. Islam was educated in cutta and Dacca. He took his M.B.B.S. at Dacca University in 1954. It was while Dr. Islam was at Dacca Medical college that he first became interested in radio-isotopes for medical uses. Dr. Islam is also a well-Know Pakistani cricketer, having played for his country in India and Burma, and for the Pakistan side against the M.C.C. during their last visit to East Pakistan in 1956.
