La patria en construcción", con la que se inauguró la Galería de Palacio Nacional, presentó una revisión de la historia mexicana, cuyo enfoque resultó controvertido, al no poder escapar del entorno político contemporáneo y, mucho menos, si fue planeada desde las instituciones el Estado mexicano, reflejando por ende la visión del actual gobierno federal. Sin embargo, más allá de las disputas ideológicas e intelectuales, y sin la cobertura de difusión y propaganda que hubiera merecido, la muestra logró atraer a un importante número de visitantes que fueron cautivados por la elegante e impactante museografía, la riqueza de la colección, así como la carga simbólica y emblemática de algunos objetos expuestos.</p> |

La patria en construcción, a temporary exhibition, which was inaugurated along the opening of the new Palacio Nacional’s Gallery, aimed to revisit Mexican history from a controversial point of view. The exhibition could not detach itself from the contemporary political environment, especially because it was planned by the Mexican State and, therefore, showed the views of its current federal government. Nonetheless, despite ideological or intellectual critics and the lack of widespread coverage, the exhibition attracted large numbers of visitors, who were captivated by the elegant and stunning museography, the richness of the collection, as well as the symbolic content of some of the objects on display.</p> |
