- The Regional Museum of Guanajuato: Alhóndiga de Granaditas, which was opened to the public in 1958, is a must-visit space of historical and socio-cultural value in our country. Its main objective is to preserve, investigate, communicate, and exhibit the historical, archaeological, artistic, and ethnographic cultural heritage it harbors. This exhibition site is considered one of the richest and most representative of the Mexican Republic since it has an inventoried collection of more than 9,000 pieces of great historical and cultural value. It is an emblematic building in the history of our country as a symbol of revolution because the first insurgent battle was fought here on September 28, 1810, a historic event that gave rise to the Independence of Mexico and the birth of the Mexican nation.
