- Resumen
- It is one of the largest and most populated countries in the world, the cradle of an astonishing civilization that began thousands of years ago while preserving a distinctive cultural continuity. The Chinese people’s world view gave rise to their beliefs and symbols that are reflected in Taoism and Confucianism. Among other notions, these ideas about the divine and natural worlds, life and death, and ancestor worship have been a source of inspiration and creativity. 5,000 years ago, this ideology provided the basis for writing, which the Chinese still consider the highest form of their civilization. It was also the foundation for developing the inventions and technological advances reflected in traditional arts such as painting, poetry, calligraphy, sculpture, music, and dance.
